Hello everyone! My name is Bonnie and I am a member of The Rock Choir. I love everything about being in the choir. IT IS AMAZING! Being in the choir has done so much for my life, it has truly shown me just how close I can get to God through praise and worship. It's hard to put into words what I feel when I am singing for the Lord, it's like everything else disappears from my mind. I try to remember to pray every Sunday morning that the Lord hides us behind the cross, let it be Him that is seen and heard!  That is where worship begins, it has nothing to do with us! He truly is doing some major changes in my life and I love it because He is bringing me closer and closer to Him! I also want to say what amazing people Brad and Tara are. Their love for the Lord glows from inside of them, they don't have to say a word you can just see it all over them. It is an absolute delight serving under two great people that I love with all of my heart!

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.   Psalm 18:2

I am thankful for the opportunity to be a choir member at the Rock of NEA.  It is a very important ministry and I am glad to have a part in it.  There are days that I feel so unworthy to be on stage.  There are days that I feel so inadequate.  I heard someone speak a few years ago about being a casual worshiper of God.  That really scared me because I knew there had been times when I could worship God or not.  That's when I realized my worship was not as real as I thought it was.  I made up my mind that day that I would never be a casual worshiper of God again.  My being in the choir has helped me achieve that goal.  I am surrounded by people just like me, you know, humans; but being with them and worshipping the one true God together is so catalysing.  I start listening to the other choir members worshipping around me and I can't help but being intentional instead of casual.

Here's the reason I love being in the choir. First of all, I love singing and enjoy praising God.  You know that worshipping and praising God invites Him to come and bask in the praises that you give Him.  God has done an awesome work in the church choir  by bringing new people into the choir and causing us to grow into what He has designed us to be.  He has also sent two amazing leaders to us in Brad and Tara that seek God in everything and are obedient to the Spirit in what course to take each Sunday  I don't know if this means anything to anybody but me, but God has done so much for me, there is no way I could ever repay Him.  So, I try my hardest to do things that please Him and I know part of that is being in the choir.  So, I do my best to worship God for who He is and what He's done for me and not how I feel.  When you can do that to honor God WOW!  It's amazing.
